VP/IDF/2024/5 “Strengthening the response mobility and anti-terrorism capabilities of the State Police by creating a practical training center”

Purpose

Increasing the anti-terrorism efficiency of the Latvian State Police by strengthening the mobile response and investigation capabilities, evaluating and improving the training content and providing a modern theoretical and practical learning environment, using innovative training methods and equipment to increase tactical skills and operational efficiency of Police officers, thus improving the state internal security and public protection in general.

Main activities

• Construction and equipping of a practical training center with an intervention object at height (climbing wall) and a tactical car range, as well as operational transport parking spaces of the training center;

• Development of practical training programs and their implementation in the newly built training center for the improvement of cooperation processes of Latvian State Police response units and special task units;

• Strengthening the international cooperation and organization of trainings to promote the investigative and anti-terrorism efficiency capabilities, etc.
